Capuchin Friary: the Cell and the Crucifix
In the Footsteps of Saint Pio ♿ Accessible
The friary visit route leads through the places of Padre Pio's daily life: his cell with his personal belongings, the friary corridors and the choir of the old church, where on 20 September 1918 the friar received the stigmata before the Crucifix still venerated there.
It is the most intimate and moving part of the visit: small, simple spaces, kept as they were. At peak times entry may be limited.
